Meet Akiva’s UK & London Interior Design Team

Who you work with01

You get a designer,
not a studio

Every project is led by one named designer who stays with it from the kick-off call to the last delivery. You speak to them rather than to an account manager, and they are still the person you contact six months later when a sofa arrives damaged or you decide to do a second room.

We choose that designer for you once you book, matching them to your project rather than putting you with whoever happens to be free. Every one of them works to the same standards, the same drawing conventions and the same house terms, so what you receive does not depend on who you are matched with.

It also means the relationship does not end when the design does. A good many online design services hand over a set of images and a shopping list and consider the job finished, which leaves you to find a contractor, place the orders, chase the deliveries and work out why the sofa does not fit. Ours stay with it: ordering and delivery, coordination during the build, and placing everything once it arrives. Rooms, whole floors, or an entire house, from the first conversation to the last cushion.

How we match02

Matching is our job, not yours

You are not asked to pick a designer from a list. Once you book, we choose the one we believe will deliver the best result for your project, on three things.

Style

Every designer has a range, and a natural register within it. What you are drawn to decides who we put you with, so the images you save are more useful to us than any brief.

Budget

Designing well to a tight budget is a different skill from specifying without constraint. Both exist on the team, and matching the right one saves a great deal of wasted time.

Location

Useful for site visits, local supplier knowledge and the kind of property you are likely to be working with. It informs the match rather than limiting it, and plenty of our projects run entirely remotely, including across borders.

What we need from you

We can only match well on what you give us. Before your kick-off call we ask for a short questionnaire and, more importantly, images of interiors you are drawn to. A folder of saved photographs tells us more in two minutes than a page of description does, and it is the single thing that decides whether the match lands. Send them early rather than at the point of the call.

We get it right first time in the large majority of cases, and twelve Houzz awards and more than a hundred five star reviews are the evidence we would point to. If after your kick-off call you would rather work with someone else, say so and we will change it. No awkwardness, no charge.

In practice03

One client, three of the things
this page claims

On the match
"From our very first interaction, James matched me with the perfect interior designer. It genuinely felt like he understood exactly what I was looking for and paired me with Claudia on the first try."
On the images
"I started by sharing inspiration images, and Claudia immediately hit the nail on the head with the mood board."
On distance
"Despite being located in different countries, the experience felt incredibly personal, collaborative, and seamless. Distance was never an obstacle."

Lina, who found us while comparing proposals both above and below ours.

What they cover04

Disciplines across the team

Between them our designers cover the full arc of a residential project, and several also work on our commercial side.

Space and layout

Furniture layouts, circulation, and the technical drawings a contractor can build from, including wall removals coordinated with a structural engineer.

Scheme and specification

Mood boards, colour, finishes, elevations and the shopping lists that turn a scheme into something you can actually order.

Lighting and joinery

Lighting distribution plans an electrician can install from, and bespoke furniture drawn so a joiner can quote and build without guesswork.

Getting started05

How you meet yours

01Free discovery callA short conversation about your project, at no cost and with no obligation to book anything afterwards.
02You bookChoose the service that fits. Tell us your style, your budget and where you are, because those are what we match on.
03We introduce your designerChosen for your project rather than drawn from a rota, and named before your kick-off call so you know who you are meeting.
04Kick-off callYour designer walks through the space with you and starts the work. If the fit is not right, tell us afterwards and we will move you to someone else.

Ready when you are. Book a free discovery call and we will take it from there.
