one of our designers
This books a private consultation about your home, by phone or video, with the designer you choose. It is the designer's own time rather than a sales call, so bring the actual problem: the room that has never worked, the layout you keep redrawing, the sofa you are about to order and are not sure about.
If you would rather not choose between people you have only read about, the form has an option to have us match you to the best-fit designer instead. We match on the kind of project and the way you like to work, not on who is free first.
What an hour can settle,
and what it cannot
An hour is enough to get direction on layout, furniture and styling, to work out where your budget is best spent and where it is being wasted, and to leave with a clear next step rather than a longer list of options. It is usually enough to stop one expensive purchase going wrong, which is the part people tell us about afterwards.
An hour is not a design. You will not leave with a floor plan, a mood board or a shopping list, and anyone promising all three in sixty minutes is selling you the meeting rather than the outcome. What you will leave with is a decision about what to do next, and an honest view on whether that is a full design service, one of the smaller ones, or nothing from us at all.
Then this is not the right booking. The Layout Clinic is ninety minutes on a plan you send in advance, which we read and mark up before we speak, and you leave with at least two layout directions and the reasoning in writing within forty-eight hours. It is a better answer to a layout problem than a general consultation, and we would rather send you there than take the booking.
Four services, and how
to tell which one you need
Most calls end with a recommendation for one of four things. They can be booked on their own or combined, and part of the hour is working out which of them your project actually needs.
- Interior Styling. A mood board and a curated shopping list, built around the room you already have. The right answer when you like your layout and want the room to look considered rather than assembled.
- Interior Design. A full room makeover, from mood board and floor plan through to the finished shopping list. The right answer when the room needs designing from scratch, layout included.
- Furniture Design. Bespoke, made to measure joinery designed around the exact space it has to fit. The right answer when nothing off the shelf will do the job, which in most older homes is more often than people expect.
- 3D Visuals. Photorealistic renders of the finished room. The right answer when you want to see it before committing, particularly where two or three strong elements have to work together.
That is a normal place to be, and it is what the consultation is for. If you would rather not book an hour to find out, tell us about the project through the form instead and we will come back within forty-eight hours with a recommended starting point. There is no obligation attached to either route.
What to have ready
None of this is required and the call works without it. Each item you do have makes the hour go further, because we spend it on your decisions rather than on questions.
What happens after you book
We confirm the time and the designer, and read whatever you have sent before the call rather than during it. Afterwards you get the recommended next step in writing, so the hour does not evaporate the moment it ends. If that step is a design service, the proposal names what you get and what it costs before you commit to anything.
